CaixaForum revisits the Belle Èpoque, a period flanked by two wars, spanning from the final years of the 19th century to the first brushstrokes of the 20th and notable for the changes to artistic conventions. The exhibition covers portraits from three generations of painters.

The exhibition displays the more famous images of Impressionism, post-Impressionism and the first avant-gardes movements of the 20th century, but also reveals the lesser-known side of the period’s arts scene, presenting close to a hundred works reflecting on the development of political and social styles and aspects of the period captured in the paintings.

This year will be 195th edition for one of the most spectacular street festivals in Barcelona, the Festa Major de Gracia. Taking place annually from 15 to 21 of August, the festival manages to gain fame and popularity thanks to its diversified and well-prepared activities. During Festa Major de Gracia, the Gracia neighborhood seems to be wrapped in new, colorful cover, all the streets and squares will be decorated, lots of concerts, streets performances, cool activities like the competition for the best decorated street, fireworks, parades…In case you plan a trip to Barcelona in August, be sure to participate in the festival!

El Hotel Regina recomienda Dansalona…

Cesc Gelabert, María Pagés y la compañía de Pina Bausch son algunos de los artistas y formaciones que desfilarán por Dansalona. Se trata de un amplio programa al que se han adscrito un total de trece teatros barceloneses –Almeria Teatre, Antic Teatre, Gran Teatre del Liceu, la Villarroel, el Mercat de les Flors, el Poble Espanyol, la Sala Beckett, el SAT, Tantarantana Teatre, el Teatre Goya, el Teatre Lliure, el Teatre Goya, el Teatre Romea y Cloenda Dansalona- con el fin de impulsar este género durante los meses de agosto y septiembre en la Ciudad Condal. Junto a ellos participarán otras compañías nacionales e internacionales como la Thomas Noone Dance, Mar Gómez, Rara Avis o Camut Band.
